2025 Purple Tee Golf Classic

This year’s Purple Tee Golf Classic, MBR’s biggest fundraiser of the year, will be held on Thursday, September 18 at Whiskey Creek Golf Club. Golfers of all skill levels are invited to play. Participate as a golfer, volunteer or sponsor – any way you do it, you’ll have a great day at Whiskey Creek.
 
This year, the Purple Tee will benefit three impactful non-profits: The Salute Military Golf Association (SMGA), The Bethesda-Chevy Chase Rescue Squad (BCCRS), and The Metro Bethesda Rotary Foundation. Learn more about these great organizations below.

The Salute Military Golf Association

The Salute Military Gold Association (SMGA) aims to meld a love of country and love of golf in an effort to support the mental and physical rehabilitation programs of post-9/11 wounded and injured veterans. SMGA golf professionals understand the unique needs of veterans and have witnessed the powerful benefits the game of golf can provide in improving the quality of life of wounded service men and women.

SMGA started right here in Montgomery County which grew into a national organization.

Bethesda Chevy Chase Rescue Squad

The BCC Rescue Squad is a philanthropically operated organization that provides state of the art emergency medical, fire, and rescue services to the Bethesda-Chevy Chase area and surrounding Maryland communities.

Dedicated members provide professional emergency medical, fire and rescue services to communities in Montgomery County, Maryland.  As an integrated part of the local fire-rescue system, BCCRS emergency medical technicians, firefighter/EMTs and paramedics respond to help members of our community during emergencies of all types, such as heart problems, strokes, vehicle crashes, and fires.

Metro Bethesda Rotary Foundation

The MBR Foundation supports Metro Bethesda Rotary Club’s efforts to provide humanitarian assistance locally and internationally, and to promote peace, understanding, and educational and cultural advancement. It is operated exclusively for educational and charitable purposes in accordance with Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.

This past Rotary year, the foundation supported over 21 non-profits locally & globally for our club and other Rotary projects with $90,000 in grants.
